Pymat is situated on the Banks of the Limpopo River approximately 5 kilometers downstream from where the Crocodile and the Groot Marico Rivers meet to become the Limpopo. This and Botswana form the western boundary.

A special feature of the farm is the natural sweet veldt of the Rooibokkraal area, where on average, animals are said to be larger and heavier than those on mixed or sour veldt.  Huge Leadwood (Hardekool) trees – some hundreds and more years old – together with many ground dams, beautify the area.

The dams and river attract an abundance of water-birds, such as Fish Eagles, varieties of Kingfishers, Waders, African Jacana, adding interest and diversity to the Bushveld. With the natural bushveld vegetation, plains game thrive.  Since 2004 exotic or rare species such as clean Buffalo, an exclusive and special herd of Western Zambian Sable, Roan, Golden Gnu, Black Impala, Golden Oryx and Nyala have been added.

In 1991, Pieter was transferred to the UK to head up and start the international operations of Standard Bank as CEO.  Until then his main hobby was Sussex and Brahman cattle stud farming.  This taught him some of the skills necessary to farm rare species of game and to strive to continually improve on quality, hence the saying “be a selector rather than an accumulator”.

Prospective buyers are more than welcome to visit him on his farm PYMAT at Rooibokkraal, Thabazimbi district, or contact him via whatsapp on 076 049 0030, or call Andrien White – 082 607 4610.
